He was lured in music when he was at the school but he devoted in music when he was at 18. He started his musical career composing folk-tune on a folk song ‘Dhalke Pipal’ however, success at school level competitions have driven him to choose music as a career. He has given melodies on above a thousand songs of modern, folk, pop and filmy songs.

After completing high school at Deepshikha Secondary School, he landed at Kathmandu for further study in 2003/04. He skilled himself through formal musical training at Shruti Sangeet Vidhyalaya with Narahari Premi. He was trained by music experts Guru Dev Kamat, Kishwor Gurung, Rajkumar Malakar and Ram Sitaula. Being inspired by Gopal Yonjan, he is motivated by Narahari Premi.

Dipak composes music on catchy song which are easy to understand but they are simple in lyrical structure and unique. Having written around one hundred lyrics, his tunes are folk-based, focused on entertainment.

Dipak, having a mix of introvert and extrovert personalities, works with the legendary and music workers from new generation. He, who believes that a well combination of lyrics, music and singing results a hit song. Dipak has dozens of songs which have received billions of YouTube views. Pirim Nalaune, Parkha Parka Mayalu, Pahilo Numberma, Balakhaima, Ye Hai Maya, Maya Jadau, Arko Juni Khai Kunni, Phul Phuleko Ban, Dekhana Champa and Pachhi Pachhi Layer are examples of hit songs on his creation. 

Dipak has contributed to the success of a dozen of Nepali films which includes but not limited to Mangalam, Chakkapanja, Chakkapanja-3, Hijo Ajaka Kura, Hawaldar Suntali, Kismat-2, Samjhi Rakha Hai, Brinda Ban, Dabab, Love You Baba, Rajja Rani, Bracelet, Love Station, April Fool which are noted as commercially success films. The commercial success of the films has enabled him to get name and fame. The success has driven him forward in such way that he never looked at his back. Dipak has been certified for his work as a music composer on the film Love You Baba, a Greenwich World Record holder film. 

Dipak has received two dozen of national level music awards for his mind-blowing creations. Dipak, a lifetime member of Nepal Music Association, is also an active social worker. He is leading National Creators and Performers Academy as the general secretary, National Folk Cultural Association, Nepal as the Vice President & Myagdi Artist Association, Nepal as the vice president.

Music Composer

Responsibilities : Music directors lead singer, arranger, orchestras, choirs, and other musical groups. They ensure that musicians play with one coherent sound, balancing the melody, timing, rhythm and volume. They also give feedback to musicians and section leaders on sound and style.
