Born in Khotang and raised in Biratnagar, Junu's affinity for the arts blossomed early. She began performing at local festivals and bhajans, earning accolades for her talents. The elders recognized her potential, and under the guidance of keyboardist Anil Timilsina, she embarked on classical music training.

In 2060, Junu moved to Kathmandu, balancing formal education with her love for music. Junu's deep understanding of musical elements spans various genres, allowing her songs to blend melody with insightful lyrics and originality. She is fluent in multiple languages, contributing not only to Nepali but also Bhojpuri, Maithali, Tharu, and Hindi music.

'Phool Manjari,' her debut recording in Kathmandu, propelled her to stardom, earning acclaim nationally and internationally. Subsequently, her record lists include the hits like 'Timro Jhalko', 'Phool Tipne', 'Gunyo Ra Cholima', 'Kasle Suruwat Garyo', 'Luki Luki', 'K Hola Unko Nau', 'Chameli Phool', 'Timi Geet Hauki', 'Furkey Dhago', 'Purba Mechi', 'Himalki Chhori' etc. Junu's voice graces over 500 songs in 50 albums.

As her reputation soared, she became most sought-after performer, captivating audiences across Nepal and in over 20 countries. Her ability to connect directly with audiences made her an event organizer's dream.

Junu's journey hasn't been just about fame; it's about a relentless pursuit of her craft. Her dedication has garnered awards, including the Image Award 2074, Bindbasini Music Awards, and Jyoti Films Music Award 2022. She is also a prominent figure in music-related organizations and serves as Treasurer of Performer Society of Nepal.
