Kamal's versatility is evident as an editor and director, showcasing his skills in visual storytelling. Starting his professional journey in 2009 as a music video editor at Surya Creation, he quickly made a mark by contributing to over 100 music videos. Not satisfied with confining his talents solely to the editing room, Kamal ventured into the directorial realm in 2013. His directorial debut, the music video 'Sani Sani,' not only marked the inception of a promising career but also set a high standard for his subsequent work. Kamal's unique vision and storytelling prowess shone through in more than 150 music videos, including popular hits like 'Kasari Jiu,' 'Lwang Piro,' 'Lauki Mohani,' 'Selfie Hanaula,' and more.

In 2016, Kamal moved to the movie industry. His debut movie, 'Shirphool,' released in 2018, laid the foundation for his directorial success. The subsequent success of 'Desan' demonstrates Kamal's ability to create impactful and original stories on the big screen. His movies have not only been commercially successful but have also been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Best Debut Movie Director at the Spiny Babbler International Film Festival 2022 and Best Director at the Nepal Rural Film Festival (NERUFF) 2023, and the Jury Award at the Pim Nepal Film Festival 2022.

Kamal is well-known for making movies with original stories and effectively conveying intended messages to the audience. As a director, he consistently creates high-quality films that people enjoy, contributing to the growth of the movie industry in Nepal. His movies feature strong stories that connect with people, spreading positive vibes. He also works together with other filmmakers to share Nepali art, culture, and movies around the world, letting everyone see the rich heritage of Nepal.

Beyond his role as a filmmaker, Kamal actively participates in various organizations, serving as the Chairperson of Performing Art Creation, an Executive Member of the Film Director Guild Nepal, and a Member of the Film Producer Association, the Association of Music Industries Nepal, and the Music and Film Producers Society. Furthermore, Kamal's participation as a jury member for prestigious awards, such as the Chhayachhabi Teej Music Award 2023 and the Super Kids and Talents 2017, showcases his multifaceted contributions to the broader arts community.
