Namaraj Dhungana's musical journey began in 2054 when he released his debut song titled 'Kathmandu Hangkong Bazarma'. The song received widespread acclaim and marked the beginning of his successful career. Over the years, he has released numerous hit songs that have touched the hearts of his listeners. Some of his notable songs include 'Salleriko Ban', 'Uneli Kathaima', 'Anmayera Pathyeu Panche Baja', 'Mayako Bhoko Chhu', 'Rato Fullbutte Cholako', 'Piratima Dam Chha', 'Fulko Basanale' and many more. As a singer, Namaraj Dhungana has recorded and performed more than 200 songs and more then 50 Musical Album, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his craft.

His talent and contributions to the music industry have earned him several prestigious awards. Namaraj Dhungana has been awarded with Sagarmatha Music Award, Nim Award, Nateshwor Music Award, Bishal Lumbini Music Award among others. These awards reflect his excellence as a folk singer. Namaraj Dhungana has also served as a jury member for Sparsha Music Video Award and National Kanthe Folk Duet Award.

Beyond his singing career, Namaraj Dhungana has been actively involved in various music organizations. He served as the Former Senior Vice President of National Musician Association, contributing to the development and welfare of fellow musicians. He has also been a general secretary of National Folk Cultural Academy since 2078 and continues to promote and preserve the rich folk culture of Nepal.

As a committed member of the music community, Namaraj Dhungana holds a lifetime membership with National Folk & Duet Song Academy, Nepal. He is also a member of Performer Society Nepal and Music Royalty Collection Society.
