Sunita's date of birth was on 02 March 1987 (Falgun 18, 2043 BS) as a first child of Himdhoj Basnet and Gyanmaya among 2 daughters and 1 son at Kuleshwor, Kathmandu. Being born in a middle class family, Sunita's parents were job holders during that time. Sunlita's childhood remained a bit different in comparison to her friends. She was sent to school from the early age. She was admitted to Kumudini High school situated at Kalimati at the age of two. Why in that early age? Sunita told the reason- 'Both my mother and father need to go to office, nobody used to be at home, who will take care of me? Because of that I was sent to school. But, my mom used to receive me at the school early."

As per the proverb "Coming events casts their shadows early", from the early age. Sunita was good at studies, curious behaviour and rich in additional talents and became popular and cherished among the classmates, friends and teachers. "I used to be ahead in extra activities rather than studies' she recall her past- 'Dancing, Painting, Sports, Debate, etc. competitions were organized timely at school. My subject of utmost importance and interest was dancing'. 

She passed her SLC (school leaving certificate) level from the same Kumudini School on 2059 BS (2003 AD). Then, Sunita started to work as a teacher in Avônguard Boarding school located near to her home. On the other side, Taking dance training at Putalisadak as well as started to give dance training in Avgnguard School. Time lapses on its own pace, responsibilities as per the level were added to Sunita. She learned Salsa dance after completing six months of diploma course and also continued her higher education. Over there in Avonguard of of around, two years of service, she started the same profession at Kalanki english Medium school situated at Kalanki. Saying today and tomorrow there also i spend of more than two years. Since 2066 BS, Sunita is working in Meridian International School situated at Baluwatar.

Till date, being popular among the thousands of future generations as ' Miss-Mam and of hundreds of dance lovers as Teacher', Sunita completed her grade 12 from Camelia Higher Secondary school situated at Kuleshwor and Bachelors from Mahendraratna Campus situated at Tahachal as well as Post graduate on Education faculty. During the same time, Sunita got arranged married with Shyam Khatri from Fidim, Panchthar on 18 Asar 2071 BS. Now they have 3 years old son named Kenneth Khatri. Generally, there is a mentality of majority of people that women are limited within Kitchen whenever they hear the word women. Even though there is inbound talent, saying 'Girls should stay in their own position and depriving from the opportunities as well as making compulsion to remain in the specific circle, also known as a stagnant thought has still absorbed room in the society. Say being fortunate- She does not need to face such situation. Same art and capacity which was seen on her from the childhood- Sunita got opportunity to express. Again, in our society, women are behind in most of the professions and also been pushed behind. In addition, In creative and historical professions, participation of women are very less. But, Sunita is such a person- who not only for self and family- became example to the new generation as well as of entire nation- earning popularity being dance instructor. In this meaning, initially she participated in the competitions of school, college, District, Zone, National as well as international levels and honoured with appreciations, prizes, awards from various organizations. Similarly, she was also honoured with dozens of appreciations under the capacity of skilled choreographer. Not only had these- In various Dance competitions, Sunita also performed the role as a Judge. This is the aspect of pride.
